The Lou Willie Award For Excellence was established by the Art On The Corner Committee. This $500 cash award was made possible through a generous donation from the well known Aspen sculptor. A veteran of the show, Wille created Chrome On The Range II, which was the object of a tremendous community fundraising effort to purchase the buffalo. Mr. Wille was impressed with the broad based public support and has graciously contributed $3,000 to seed the cash award fund.

The winner of the '99 award is Bobbie Carlyle who has been an active participant in the AOTC program for many years. Her popular bronze works include Hannah/Sunday Escape, Diadems, Self Made Man, Sunriser, Stretching the Limits and Day's Catch. Her work is a valuable asset to public art and we are pleased to honor her with this award.
